Is semi-permanent makeup painful?

Semi-permanent makeup is getting more popular, and it is a convenient way to enhance your look with natural and long-lasting results.

When can I start wearing makeup after permanent makeup treatment?

After a semi-permanent makeup treatment, it’s best to avoid makeup until the skin has healed. Wait 5 to 7 days when the treated area fully recovers before applying any products.

Can I tan before or after my semi-permanent makeup treatment?

We don’t recommend tanning before your treatment as it causes skin inflammation, dries out your skin, alters the natural tone of your skin, making it difficult for us to match the pigment properly. After the treatment, you should avoid tanning for at least 4 weeks as it can cause the pigment to fade or even change colour, especially on areas like freshly done brows, which may turn ashy blue.

Can I drink alcohol before and after semi-permanent makeup?

We recommend avoiding alcohol for 2-3 days before and after your treatment. Alcohol thins the blood, which can cause more bleeding during the procedure, potential pigment migration, and increased swelling and bruising afterward.

How soon after my eyeliner tattoo can I get lash extensions?

Eyelash extensions should be removed about a week or 2 before your semi-permanent eyeliner appointment. Semi-permanent makeup usually requires two sessions, the initial treatment and a touch-up 4 to 6 weeks later. You can book your eyelash extensions about 2 weeks after the touch-up, once your eyeliner has healed.

Can I use eyelash growth serum after eyeliner tattoo?

You should wait until your second eyeliner session has fully healed before applying an eyelash growth serum. This usually means waiting about two weeks after your touch-up appointment.

You should discontinue lash and brow serums at least 4 -5 weeks before your appointment as it will irritate your skin.

Do I need to shave by eyebrows before semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo?

Absolutely not! We never shave off the natural brow hairs before a semi-permanent eyebrow treatment. Instead, we shape the brows and use your natural hairs as part of the template to create the most realistic and natural look. We always encourage clients to keep as much of their natural brow as possible.

Do I need to book some time off work?

After the procedure, you might experience mild swelling or redness, but it subsides quickly. Most clients return to their normal daily activities and to work on the same day.

Will my lips get swollen after lipblush tattoo?

How the lips swell varies from person to person. Some people experience significant swelling, while others have very little. Generally, the lips are more sensitive than the brows or eyeliner, so some degree of swelling is common and can be expected. It usually resolves within a day or two.

By following these tips and understanding what to expect, you can feel confident and prepared for your semi-permanent makeup treatment.
