What is permanent makeup Hertfordshire
Permanent makeup is also called semi permanent makeup, micro pigmentation, PMU, SPMU or cosmetic tattoo. It is a form of tattooing that deposits pigment into the skin using special tools like permanent makeup machines or microblades.
Microblading and permanent makeup machine
There are two different tools that are used in permanent makeup: microblading pen and a semi permanent makeup machine.
Microblading is the ancient form of tattoo that originated in Japan around Edo period, and then was reinvented in Asia around 2005. It is a manual pen with fine blades that scratches and blades the skin and deposit pigment to create hair like strokes or powder onto your skin.
Semi-permanent makeup machine is a gentle tattoo machine that uses cartridges with various needle configurations. These cartridges deposit pigment in the skin. Machine can also create hair like strokes and powder looks.

What can you expect during your semi permanent makeup appointment?
First, we start drawing a template of your permanent makeup (sketch) with a pencil for your approval. You can say if you would like your brows to be thinner or thicker, arch higher or rounded etc. and we will take that into account. Once we finish the template, you will be given a mirror to check the shape and if you are happy with it, we will photograph it and give you a form to sign. The drawing takes around 15 minutes.
A gentle numbing cream is applied for 15-20 minutes and we start the tattoo process. This process may take between 45-90 minutes.
After we finished your new enhancement, we will take pictures and give you printed out aftercare instructions.
You should schedule your complimentary top up appointment for 4-6 weeks later (appointments booked for a later time will not be complimentary).

You can go back to work the same day, there’s no downtime.

Avoid exercise, steam rooms, and swimming. Avoid any sweaty or dirty/dusty activities to minimise the risk of infections.
Do not pick or scratch your skin. Don’t touch it with unwashed hands.

Your safety is very important to us. We only use 100% disposable tools, needles, and cartridges. The cartridges are equipped with a safety membrane that prevents backflow of any pigment or bodily fluids.
Disposable needles and other products are deposited in the medical waste bins, eliminating any chance of cross-contamination.
It’s important to remember that safety is a joint effort, and following the pre care and aftercare is very important.

We all have different pain thresholds and sensitivity levels. We apply a topical numbing cream to make the treatment more comfortable.

Yes, it can be removed with laser or the manual method. Removal may require multiple sessions, that depends on the depth of the pigment, and its colour.
