What is eyebrow lamination?

You are probably familiar with the eyelash lift treatment, if you did not have it yourself, you have most likely heard of it from your friends. It is a very similar treatment but instead of adding a curl as it does to the eyelashes, we comb the brows straight or with a slight curve to stretch the hairs out.

Eyebrow lamination or otherwise known as eyebrow botox will start with the eyebrow cleanse. When the eyebrows and nicely cleansed, we will apply an activator with a thioglycolic acid that will open up the hair follicles. We will also apply keratin on the hairs that will rebuild the hairs structure, strengthens the hairs and makes them look thicker and shinier.

Can eyebrow lamination damage eyebrows?

As with every treatment, we recommend the treatment to be carried out by a professional that is properly trained in this technique. Different thickness of hairs should be treated differently, and that’s why we only suggest having it done by a professional and recommended technician, to avoid any damage to your skin or eyebrow hair.

Prices of this treatment may vary depending on location if the treatment will also include tinting and shaping of the eyebrows. This treatment with the tint and shape takes between 45 – 75minutes, so You can have beautiful full and shiny brows in about an hour. Treatment can be repeated every 5 weeks.

Why get eyebrow lamination?

The effect of the brow lamination treatment can last for about 1 – 1.5 months. Eyebrow lamination does not only smoothes and changes the direction of unruly growing brow hair. Its huge advantage is an intensive regeneration and nourishment of the eyebrows. A semi-permanent change in the shape and direction of hair growth happens when the thioglycolic acid is used during the procedure.

The hair follicles are open, and the next stage of the treatment is to regenerate the brow hairs with a solution that contains keratin and vegetable oils. These products improve the condition and elasticity of the hair and restore its shine. The treatment can be paired with tinting and shaping, depending on the clients’ needs.

Can eyebrow lamination be done on any type of eyebrows?

Yes, every type of eyebrow is suitable for brow lamination. If your eyebrows are light or extremely sparse, you can have the treatment paired with tinting treatment. However, the most important step to achieve is to get the brow hairs “brushed” up in the right direction, to add the body and fullness.

How is the eyebrow lamination done?

The treatment takes about 45 minutes. If it’s paired with professional eyebrow styling/shaping and tinting eyebrow styling it can take around an hour or slightly longer.

What is happening during the treatment?

First, we will wash and dry your brows. The next step will be to apply a solution that will make your eyebrows hair soft and allow us to style them the way we would like to and give the proper direction to each hair.
Then we will apply the solution, which will set the brow hairs permanently in a styled manner.
Then we will “map” the brows to make them more symmetrical and shape them to the required look.
If you opted for a version with a dye, we apply some tint in our chosen colour, and then we will wash it off after it processed.
As the last step of brow lamination, we use a special highly nutritious solution that will “feed” the brows, protect the eyebrows from external factors, and boost the hair growth of your brow hairs.

How much does eyebrow lamination cost?

The price of eyebrow lamination including tint and shape is £45. If you would like just the lamination without adding any colour or shaping your brows, it is £35.

How long does eyebrow lamination last?

Eyebrow lamination lasts between 1 to 1.5 months. It depends on many natural factors, for example, the life cycle of the eyebrow hair – brow hairs naturally sheds and falls out, and the new ones grow in their place. The new hairs, of course, won’t be straight as they haven’t been laminated yet.
