Different techniques of semi permanent eyebrows
Different ttypes of permanent eyebrow tattoo in Hertfordshire
There are different techniques and different tools to tattoo semi permanent eyebrows. You may be overwhelmed, not knowing what style to choose or what kind of brows would suit you and are best for your skin type.
When we think of permanent eyebrows and how they looked 20 years ago, we may get a little afraid. Blunt shapes, block and strong lines, square brow fronts – this is what a lot of people see when they hear permanent makeup or permanent brows.
You can still see many of these brows “walking around”. Yes, we all have seen someone who had “permanent marker” brows.
But the world of semi-permanent makeup has evolved alot, very dark, blue and blunt marker-type brows are left in the past. Here at Beauty Bar in Hertfordshire we create nice, soft and delicate, very natural looking permanent eyebrows, that once healed don’t even look like permanent makeup.
How do you choose the right brows for yourself?
How do you know what style and technique is good for you?
Three most popular permanent eyebrow makeup techniques are soft powder brows, hair strokes by many people called microblading, and ombre brows.
Hair stroke eyebrows
Hair strokes or digital microblading is not for everyone. It is suitable for people with normal or dry skin type. Oily or combination skin isn’t suitable for this technique.
In oily and combination skin strokes will look blurred after healing and no longer resemble the look of real hairs. They will look washed out, thicker, and eventually the strokes will blend into each other.
During the consultation we advise clients with combination or oily skin to opt for a different type of eyebrows, like powder or ombre.
At Beauty Bar in Hertfordshire, we create very natural hair stroke eyebrows.
Powder eyebrows
This is the most popular type of semi-permanent eyebrows. Beautifully natural, this is suitable for most skin types, even oily skin. This method can create such natural and delicate brows that everyone will just keep guessing if these are your natural eyebrows. The density of powder can be very soft or stronger and denser.
We are often asked by blonde clients if we can give them natural-looking blonde brows. Powder brows are great for blondes and we mix the colour of the pigment individually for each client to perfectly match their hairs.
Ombre eyebrows
Ombre brows give the look of more defined make-up. The brows are gradually softer at the front of the brow and then get stronger and sharper towards the tail. We recommend this technique to younger clients or those who wear full makeup on daily basis. This method is suitable for all skin types.
What do you need to know
Every new set of permanent brows will look darker and bolder for the first couple of days. This is completely normal and the colour will start to lighten as the brows are healing. The final result is visible at 4-6 weeks.
At Beauty Bar in Hertfordshire we work very light and gentle, our brows do not scab during the healing process.
We offer semi-permanent makeup consultations in our Beauty Bar salon. During the consultation, we will be happy to advise you what type of skin you have, and what would be the best eyebrow technique for you. If you have any questions about permanent eyebrows please email us.
