The swelling will usually go down after a few hours, the redness the next day or even sooner. It will take up to 7 days before you can start wearing your eye makeup. You should follow the aftercare instructions properly, to avoid infections. We always instruct our clients and give them written aftercare to follow.

Semi permanent eyeliner lasts from 2-5 years. Your lifestyle, aftercare, and health conditions are very important factors that can influence longevity of the eyeliner.

Frequent tanning have an impact on the quality of permanent makeup.It can affect what happens to the pigment, especially if it happens shortly after your treatment.

• Viral or bacterial infection
• Uncontrolled diabetes
• Psoriasis in the treatment area
• Blood thinning medication
• Eyelash growth serum or conditioner in the last month before your treatment
• Eye infections or eye conditions present
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Steroid medications in the last 6 months
• Eyelash extensions should be removed around a week before your treatment

The feeling of pain is different for each person, as we all have different pain threshold.  We apply a topical anaesthetic cream to lessen the feeling of discomfort, and once you are used to a sensation of vibration against your skin you should be fine.

 

What do you need to know before your treatment?

We recommend to look after your skin around the eyes, keep it moisturised. Do not tint your eyelashes, get lvl or lash extensions treatments. If you have semi permanent eyelashes on, they should be removed around a week before your treatment.

Plan your appointment around the time when you don’t have any events scheduled, as you won’t be able to apply makeup on the treated area for about a week. 48 hours before the appointment do not take aspirin and ibuprofen and and do not drink alcohol.

 

How to look after your permanent eyeliner?

Immediately after your treatment, your eyes may be slightly swollen or red. Swelling will disappear very quickly, and you can go back to work and daily duties the same day.

The colour of your permanent eyeliner will look more intense and sharper. Don’t worry about it, because after a few days the colour will start to fade to a target colour.

Your enhancement must be washed with a saline solution, or with sterile water, and moisturised with the recommended aftercare cream around 3 times a day. Avoid using the swimming pool, do not get any SPA treatments, facials, avoid sauna and tanning for the length of the healing period. Makeup should not be worn for 5-7 days post procedure.
